قصة انجليزية للاطفال مترجمة بالعربي

.... Put the glass down now ....
A professor began his class by holding up a glass with
some water in it.
He held it up for all to see; asked the students,' How much
do you think this glass weighs?'
'50gms!' .... '100gms!' ......'125gms' ......the students answered.
'I really don't know unless I weigh it,' said the professor,
'but, my question is:
What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?'
'Nothing' the students said.
'Ok what would happen if I held it up
like this for an hour? ' the professor asked.
'Your arm would begin to ache' said one of the students.
'You're right, now what would happen if I held it for a day? '
'Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle
stress; paralysis;
have to go to hospital for sure!'ventured another student;
all the students laughed.
'Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the
glass change?' asked the professor.
'No' the students said.
Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress? '
The students were puzzled.
'Put the glass down!' said one of the students.
'Exactly!' said the professor.' Life's problems are
something like this .
Hold it for a few minutes in your head; they seem OK.
Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.
Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will
not be able to do anything.
It's important to think of the challenges (problems) in your
life,but
EVEN MORE IMPORTANT to 'put them down' at the end of
every day before you go to sleep.
That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day
fresh & strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that
comes your way!'

في يوم من الأيام دخل البروفيسور القاعه وفي يده كأس وفيه قليل من الماء , طبعا رفع
الكأس سائلا من في القاعه من منكم يعرف كم جراما تزن هذه ؟
تعددت اجابات الطلاب واختلفت : 30جم / 40جم / 80جم / 100جم ...
رد البروفسور : والله انا لاأعرف بالضبط كم حتى ازنها , لكن سؤالي هو : ماذا ممكن
ان يحدث اذا رفعتها هكذا (مد يده الى الأعلى) لبضع دقائق ؟
هنا لم يرد أحد .
أكمل البروفسور قائلا : ماذا اذا أبقيتها لمدة ساعه ؟
رد أحد النشيطين : بروف ستؤلمك ذراعك .
البروف : ممتاز أحسنت ., وماذا اذا أبقيتها ليوم كامل ؟
رد أحد الجريئين : بروف ستبدأ يدك في التنميل ثم شد عضلي وتمززززززززززززق ويمكن
شلل وأكيد سننقلك الى المستشفى .(ضحك كل من في القاعه).
البروف : ممتاز عظيم , ولكن أثناء ذلك كله , هل تغير وزن الكأس ؟ الماء؟
لاء طبعا كان رد البروف ( و الكل حتى قاريءهذا الموضوع ) .
اذا قولوا لي ماهو سبب ألم الذراع والشد العضلي ؟
رد أحدهم : أنزل يدك واترك الكأس .
البروف : بالضبط ياأخوان هكذا مشاكل الحياة فكر فيها لدقائق انها والله لاشيء ,
وفكر فيها لوقت أطول ستبدأ تؤلمك , ثم لأطول سيزداد ألمها حتى يوصلك الى
الشلل
فتصبح غير قادرا على فعل أي شيء .
مهم التفكير في تحديات المشاكل في حياتك , ولكن الأكثر أهمية ( وضع تحتها
الف خط) , أن تضع كل الثقة في الله سبحانه وتعالى وتترك المشكله والتفكير
فيها عندما تذهب الى النوم .
بتلك الطريقة لا شد ولا جهد ولا اي شيء , وستستيقظ ان شاء الله نشيط قوي
(فرش) وتقدر تستوعب اي جديد وتواجه أي مشكله او تحدي جديد قد يعترض
طريقك وتتعامل معاها بنفس طريقة اليوم السابق .


THE SICK LION

A Lion had come to the end of his days and lay sick unto death
at the mouth of his cave, gasping for breath. The animals, his
subjects, came round him and drew nearer as he grew more and
more
helpless. When they saw him on the point of death they thought to
themselves: "Now is the time to pay off old grudges." So the Boar
came up and drove at him with his tusks; then a Bull gored him
with his horns; still the Lion lay helpless before them: so the
Ass, feeling quite safe from danger, came up, and turning his tail
to the Lion kicked up his heels into his face. "This is a double
death," growled the Lion.
Only cowards insult dying majesty

الأسد المريض
كان هناك أسد قد بلغ أيامه الأخيرة، فتمدد مريضاً مشرفاً على الموت عند مدخل كهفه
يلفظ أنفاسه الأخيرة.
اجتمعت حوله رعاياه من الحيوانات واقتربت منه بينما هو لا حول له ولا قوة. وعندما
وجودوا أنه على وشك الموت قالوا لأنفسهم: "هذا هو وقت تصفية الضغائن". اقترب
منه الخنزير البري وضربه بنابه؛ ثم جرحه الثور بقرنه؛ والأسد مازال مستلقياً عاجزاً
أمامهم؛ مما جعل الحمار يشعر بالأمان فاقترب من الأسد رافعاً ذيله نحوه وضربه
بحوافره على وجهه. "هذا موت مضاعف"، زمجر الأسد.
فقط الجبناء يهينون سلطاناً يحتضر.



THE LION'S SHARE

The Lion went once a-hunting along with the Fox, the Jackal,
and the Wolf. They hunted and they hunted till at last they
surprised a Stag, and soon took its life. Then came the question
how the spoil should be divided. "Quarter me this Stag," roared
the Lion; so the other animals skinned it and cut it into four
parts. Then the Lion took his stand in front of the carcass and
pronounced judgment: The first quarter is for me in my capacity
as King of Beasts; the second is mine as arbiter; another share
comes to me for my part in the chase; and as for the fourth
quarter, well, as for that, I should like to see which of you will
dare to lay a paw upon it."
"Humph," grumbled the Fox as he walked away with his tail
between his legs; but he spoke in a low growl
."You may share the labours of the great,
but you will not share the spoil."

حصة الأسد
ذهب الأسد ذات مرة للصيد مع الثعلب وابن آوى والذئب. استمروا بالصيد إلى أن
باغتوا ظبياً واصطادوه، فكان السؤال حول توزيع الغنيمة.
"قسّموا هذا الظبي إلى أربعة أجزاء"، زأر الأسد. فقام البقية بسلخه وتقطيعه إلى
أربعة حصص، ثم وقف الأسد أمام الجثة وأصدر حكمه: "الربع الأول لي بصفتي
ملك الحيوانات؛ والربع الثاني لي بصفتي الحَكَم؛ وربع آخر لي لدوري في الصيد؛
أما بالنسبة للحصة الرابعة... بودي أن أعرف من منكم سيجرؤ ويضع مخلبه عليها."
ابتعد الثعلب مدمدماً وذيله بين قدميه، وقال بصوت منخفض: "يمكنك أن تشارك الملوك
أعمالهم لكن لن تشاركهم الغنائم."


E MAN AND HIS TWO WIVES

CIn the old days, when men were allowed to have many wives, a
middle-aged Man had one wife that was old and one that
was young;
each loved him very much, and desired to see him like herself.
Now the Man's hair was turning grey, which the young Wife
did not
like, as it made him look too old for her husband. So every night
she used to comb his hair and pick out the white ones. But the
elder Wife saw her husband growing grey with great pleasure, for
she did not like to be mistaken for his mother. So every morning
she used to arrange his hair and pick out as many of the black
ones as she could. The consequence was the Man soon
found himself entirely bald.
Yield to all and you will soon have nothing to yield.
رجل وزوجتيه
كان هناك رجل في خريف العمر لديه زوجة مسنة وأخرى شابة، كلاهما تحبانه جدا وكل
واحدة تتمنى أن يحبها هي.
بدأ الشيب يغزو رأس الرجل، فلم يعجب الزوجة الشابة أن يبدو زوجها عجوزا، لذلك اعتادت
كل ليلة أن تمشط شعره وتقتلع الشعرات البيضاء. لكن الزوجة المسنة كانت سعيدة لشيب
زوجها لأنها لم تكن ترغب أن تبدو كأمه، فكانت كل ليلة تمشط شعره وتقتلع أكبر عدد
ممكن من الشعرات السوداء. وبالنتيجة سرعان ما وجد الرجل نفسه أصلعاً.
استسلم للجميع ولن يبقى لديك شيء لتتنازل عنه.


THE WOODMAN AND THE SERPENT

One wintry day a Woodman was tramping home from his work when
he saw something black lying on the snow. When he came closer he
saw it was a Serpent to all appearance dead. But he took it up
and put it in his bosom to warm while he hurried home. As soon as
he got indoors he put the Serpent down on the hearth before the
fire. The children watched it and saw it slowly come to life
again. Then one of them stooped down to stroke it, but the
Serpent raised its head and put out its fangs and was about to
sting the child to death. So the Woodman seized his axe, and with
one stroke cut the Serpent in two. "Ah," said he,
"No gratitude from the wicked."

الحطّاب والأفعى
ذات يوم شتوي بينما كان الحطاب يتسكع عائداً من عمله إلى بيته رأى شيئاً أسود يستلقي
على الثلج، وعندما اقترب وجد أنها كانت أفعى تبدو كالميتة للناظرين. فأخذها ووضعها في
صدره لتدفئتها وركض نحو البيت. ما إن وصل حتى وضعها على الموقد أمام النار. راقبها
الأولاد وهي تعود للحياة شيئاً فشيء، ثم انحنى أحدهم عليها ليداعبها بيده لكن الأفعى رفعت
رأسها وأخرجت مخالبها وكانت على وشك أن تلدغ الولد لدغة قاتلة عندما أمسك الحطاب
بفأسه وبضربة واحدة قطعها إلى قسمين قائلا:
لا عرفان بالجميل من اللئيم.



THE YOUNG THIEF AND HIS MOTHER

A young Man had been caught in a daring act of theft and had
been condemned to be executed for it. He expressed his desire to
see his Mother, and to speak with her before he was led to
execution, and of course this was granted. When his Mother came
to him he said: "I want to whisper to you," and when she brought
her ear near him, he nearly bit it off. All the bystanders were
horrified, and asked him what he could mean by such brutal and
inhuman conduct. "It is to punish her," he said. "When I was
young I began with stealing little things, and brought them home
to Mother. Instead of rebuking and punishing me, she laughed and
said: "It will not be noticed." It is because of her that I am
here to-day."
"He is right, woman," said the Priest; "the Lord hath said:
"Train up a child in the way he should go; and
when he is old he will not depart therefrom."

اللص الصغير وأمه
أُلقي القبض على شاب يقوم بعملية سرقة جريئة وحُكِمَ عليه بالإعدام، فعبَّر عن رغبته برؤية
أمه والتكلم إليها قبل أن يساق للإعدام، فتم تلبية طلبه.
عندما جاءت أمه قال لها: "أريد أن اهمس لك بشيء" وعندما دنت بأذنها منه كان
على وشك اقتلاعها.
ارتاع المتفرجون من تصرفه و سألوه عن سبب هذا السلوك الوحشي واللا إنساني،
فأجاب: "عقاباً لها، لأنني عندما كنت صغيراً بدأت بسرقة أشياء صغيرة وكنت أحضرهم
للمنزل وبدلاً من تأنيبي وعقابي كانت تضحك وتقول: "لن يلاحظ ذلك أحد". وبسببها أنا
هنا اليوم."
"إنه محق أيتها المرأة،" قال الكاهن؛ "يقول المسيح:
"دربوا الطفل على الطريق الذي يجب أن يمشي فيه
وعندما سيكبر لن يغادر هذا الطريق."
